So for starters, I’ll go ahead and address that due to COVID-19, the format of this and future blogs will be a bit different than how I initially planned. With “Stay-At-Home” orders in place all over the globe, Houston, Tx was no exception. Essential places are still open and that includes restaurants without dining in. Because of this, I had the luxury of getting some boiled crawfish to go from Swamp City. Though I wasn’t able to get many pictures, I’ll detail my experience for you guys.
This Houston fave is normally packed and social distancing really didn’t stop the show. I pulled into a parking lot full of cars and people. The staff did a great job of maneuvering through the chaos. They had a two person limit inside of the lobby to order and then had a big tent outside where you could stand and listen for your order number through the intercom. I would say all in all the customer service and adaptation to the circumstances deserves a 4.7 rating from me.
Lastly, the CRAWFISH!! I chose the spicy garlic seasoning and was not disappointed in the least. They were juicy and flavorful through and through. The size could’ve been a bit bigger but I’m telling you the sauce made up for it all…..(I dipped my fingers and licked them shamelessly). At $7.99/lb, I would definitely go back every single time that I am in Houston. Ro’s rating is a 4.8.
