Hi, my name is Rommetta Robinson (you can call me Ro) and I’m from Houston, Tx. Currently, I’m an electronic media senior at Texas State University. This blog is an assignment in my Fundamentals of Digital Online Media so I am very excited to get my hands dirty in this blog/website making business. Hopefully, I do well enough for y’all to comeback each week and see what I’ve got going on.
I’m making this blog because just like the southern gal that I am, I loveeeeeee me some boiled crawfish. Growing up, I had a love/hate relationship with crawfish. I loved the flavor but I had the hardest time trying to peel them. Every time I tried, I would cut myself or end up with tiny little pieces of a tail that was already small. So, my daddy had to peel his and mine for longest lol. But I’m a WOMAN now!! I can tear them up all on my own. I love them spicy, citrusy, with butter, with pink dip, any way possible. I love them from January to December, frozen and fresh.
Lol I’m sure you’re starting to get the point. Anywho, the actual crawfish season is upon us and so I have taken the liberty to embark on a crawfish tour. I will be visiting different restaurants throughout Central/Southeast, Tx and trying out their crawfish for all the crawdaddy lovers out there like me. If you’re really like me, I HAVE to read reviews before I go out to eat places, so hopefully this will be of some help to you.
Not only will I grade their boil flavors, but also the customer service and environment of each location. My grading scale will be based upon a 5-point system for each category with 5 being the best. Small, dirt-tasting, skimped seasoning, too much seasoning and/or being over-boiled are examples of things that will get the crawfish rating docked points. As far as the customer service goes, being super attentive for like when I need more water because my mouth is feeling that super spicy but can’t stop eating point, timely food delivery, server’s attitude and menu knowledge are things I’ll be looking for to boost ratings. And no matter if the place is big or small, how comfortable I am while I dig in will be how I rate the environment.
